Hi George, thanks for sharing your work. I really enjoyed your talk and it raised a few questions for me: 1) If most dust in the tropical Atlantic comes from Africa, should there be a longitudinal trend in the 232Th dust flux (decreasing flux from east to west)? It would be interesting to see if this has changed through time, and maybe can tell you about the past strength of the easterlies. 2) Are there marine biomarker data for those same sediment cores you analyzed? It would be interesting to see if there is a correlation between marine productivity and dust fluxes. Thanks!
