Do you have any hypothesis to explain the low Fe content of the fine particles? Is the proportion between fine particles and big particles high in terms of total processed amounts?
It is possible to remove additional intergrown muscovite and thus Fe2O3 from spodumene by considering more intense grinding or smaller particles. There is not necessarily more fine particles if mass is considered (i.e. 1 large particle mass = mass of 20 smaller ones).
